What did Bhishma tell Yudhisthira before his death?
Women in Hinduism are seen in terms of respect and high esteem. The ancient sacred texts shed much light about women. In many great Hindu scriptures, the women speak of fidelity to their
husband and their strong will power. Some texts have described the duties of women and how they should behave.
Similarly, in the Mahabharata, women have been described in connection with certain things.

Bhishma Pitamah lying on the bed of arrows was advising Yudhisthira. Some of these things are relevant in today’s times.
Do not disrespect women
Bhishma Pitamah told Yudhisthira that if disrespect of women is in the home, success will be difficult to attain. The daughters-in-law of the affliction (pain) due to the heaviness, that is the destruction of the total. By pleasing the women in your house, they will start to follow the pattern of Goddess Lakshmi.
Giving women angry curse
Pitamah Bhishma told Yudhisthira that houses where women are angrily cursed are destroyed. The man’s glory, prosperity will diminish and destruction of property follows. Offspring, as well as, nourished and happy Lokyatra are dependent on the same. If men respect women they have been proven to work his will. Where women are honored, there the gods reside.
According to Bhishma Pitamah, if the wishes of the woman are not met, the man cannot please or be pleased himself. Therefore women should try to be content, and love their husbands with care and affection. Where women are honored, there the gods are pleased and reside.
